Is there a special way you have to install a front bumper cap.Im about to go crazy....please let me know....

slap it straight on, from the front. mine wouldnt go on when i tried to do one side then slide it to the other, i had to just go straight on with that dude.

it will bend a little before the paint starts to crack.




EDIT: maybe a cap is different than a cover?

Im having a problem with the cap if I put it on one side the other side is to short

just go staight on, bend the sides out a little bit and it will slide right over the existing bumper... it wont go if you try one side at a time like that.

What year/model truck? On my 02 silvy, the cap just snapped right on. I started on one side and worked my way to the other with no problem.

Its a 04 siverado when i tried to put it on one side its like 1/4 inch to short,I went back to the original because the paint was peeling off and it looked ugly..

I just put a painted one on my '06, it's quite easy. Just make sure from the other side that the clips/tangs are fully engaged in the bumper, it may take a stiff shot with the palm of your hand on each clip/tang but that's all it SHOULD take.
