Default Built a new truck! What do you guys think?

I bought an 06 Chevy Silverado Ext Cab with the 5'7" bed. It's a Z-71 4X4 with the 5.3 in it. Cloth seats, Bose sound system, Steering Wheel Controls,35,XXX miles. It was a recovered theft when I bought it and needed a complete front end, wheels and tires, misc interior parts, tailgate and tail lights. I included a picture of how I got it plus wheels and tires, and a few pics along the way of building it.

I installed:
Stainless Steel LT's, dummy cats
K&N CAI
SI-DO Flowmaster with dual 3.5" chrome tips
17" GEAR Chrome Wheels/MT BAJA ATZ 33X12.5X17 tires
Chrome Flames Grille
Z-71 3RD Brake Light Cover
Cranked T-Bars a bit
Custom 212/218-112 High Lift Cam
918 springs
hardened pushrods
Custom Tune
Pioneer AVH-P3200DVD Head Unit-All te necessary hook-up equip.

thats a reallly nice truck. imagine it slammed doing some 4wd launches with that little bed. they should have done the SS with that size bed.

anyways nice job!! does it really come out a lot cheaper getting them that way and getting them back to good shape?

Yea, it would make a bad-*** drag truck, but I'm a country boy haha. Yes, it is cheaper. But, we buy from all over the U.S. through interenet auctions. You COULD NOT buy this truck stock with higher miles for what I have in ths truck rebuilt.

I am really suprised with this truck. The cam REALLY woke up the 5.3! It's one of the strongest pulling trucks I've driven in a long time. And for a EC 4X4on 33's, this truck will really scoot down the highway and reaches 100+mph with ease. By measuring hp/tq with my HPT software, which I believe is measuring the power at the trans, it made 330-335 hp and tq on an 89 octane tune and 345hp 352tq on a 92 octane tune. For comparison, my LQ9 truck with LT's and a tune made 345hp and my dad's LQ9 with a 224-112 cam and lt's made between 370-380hp/tq with the same measuring method. I don't know what any of these trucks would actually make on a dyno? I need to hook up with my buddy 1 hour away who owns a dyno.

Plays dvds, about any CD on earth, Front Aux in, Front SD card slot, Front USB port, built in iPod control, 8-band eq, 112 different color choices for buttons, excellent sound quality, very easy to navigate, optional add-on bluetooth, customizable wallpapers, very crisp/clear screen, great dvd picture...Overall I think it's the beat unit on the market for the price. I didnt want/need navigation or bluetooth, so it does everything i could ever want and more!
