Default Budget Detail New Daily Driver

I bought a 2000 rcsb chevy! It has 168,xxx miles on it and the paint has seen its better days! I snapped a few pics before I went to work on it, but didn't get many as I was ready to get this thing done!!!!!!

I started off with a simple wash with dawn to strip the truck of all the wax (wasn't any but wanted it to be stripped of anything it might have had).

I then clayed the truck using a Big store brand Clay bar system. After clay bar was applied and the paint was smooth, it still was very cloudy. I used 3m rubbing compound, followed by 3m finess it, and toped it all with Adam's buttery wax, using a orbital polisher! I must say that the combonation of these products worked well! I will be purchasing the adams full machine polish kit for my x-mas present too

Finished........

I will have more pics up later, these are just a few of the before and afters and some of the sections to show how bad the paint was and how I corrected it!

Wonder how long it's gonna take for you to swap the drive-train's of the trucks!!
Looks good! That's a 2WD right?

Idk prolly won't swap any of it, worst case I will buy a 5.3 and a 4l60 low mileage and return it to stock, then have all the good parts for the black truck! If I do that, the motor won't go back In as a "stock" 6.0

Prolly just drive the truck a while and have some fun with the red truck!!!!! Anyone got a tail 10 psi spring they wanna send me?
