Anyone try those blue 194 bulb covers vs the 4 bulb LED's?. Just curious if I can get the same effect with the covers in my cluster.

Don't waste your time with bulb covers, either buy the blue blulbs or LED bulbs. I got the 6 LED 194 bulb in my Autometer gauges, they do a very good job at lighting. I tried the install the some LED in my cluster gauge, however the gray holders are made onto the bulb and the replacement holders (from OReilly's) I bought where the wrong ones. I have not been able to find the correct bulb holders.

 

Interesting, I might just buy 2 covers (at 2.50) to see how they look. I know I saw a thread on replacing the cluster with LED's. Here's the link.

I put the blue covers on mine. It makes the lights not as bright and has a bluish-green tint to them instead of blue. I kinda like it though.

 

I wish the 03+ truck had the twist locks.......
