I'm working on a 2007 GMC Yukon XLT. the truck is black, so we are wanting to do a black on black look but with black chrome. so does anybody know where we can get replacement black chrome pieces for the lettering and grill pieces. he also wants black chrome door handles. the mirrors on the new models have the top half painted and on this one the bottom half is ruff plastic. they make a chrome replacement/cover piece. where can we find a black chrome one? we have been looking but haven't found a lot.

Very little black chrome stuff. Have to have it done if you want it. I want to bring some black chrome into the interior of the dually to match the wheels and have figured I'm going to have to do it myself.

 

that sucks. regular chrome i think would look like **** on this black yukon. i hate it when people put every chrome thing you could ever think of on a car/truck. after so much it just looks stupid.

There's a process that can be done to make black chrome. The guy that comes to our dealership to do gold packages does it...it costs a couple hundred bucks I believe though...

Not on me, but I can get it from work. He's local to New Jersey, but I'll bet that if you shipped him what you wanted black chromed or gold plated or whatever he'd be able to do it for you, if you're not from the area.

I love black chrome and it seems a lot of us here do to. Maybe we should all get together and start a company that does it since no one else makes it main stream? Probably won't happen, but wouldn't that be nice...or maybe if we all call the main aftermarket company's every 5 min asking for it they would add it to there inventory....
