well i did this to my factory corners. they came apart with a little prying. i kept throwing them in the oven after they cooled down a bit. all in all. pretty easy.

bad part is. to me it looks like the orange is part of the lense. so i see no way of removing it. anyone else try this

I put my factory headlights in the oven to get the orange out. It worked very well, I kept them in there for like 5 min at 200*F. I then tried to do the same to that factory corners. It worked just as well, but like you encountered, the orange wouldn't come off. It's glued to the clear part of the lens. If you pry on it, you're for sure going to break it. I didn't try heating that part up, because that adhessive is a lot different than the other. You're welcome to try but I'm warning ya....

i might stick it in there just to see if it will come off. this is a spare set and if it gets messed up it won't matter too much. i'll just keep checking every few mins.

you can see the glue that is on these. it is still in the tracks where the two meet together

now in this one, the orange piece is hard plastic that appears to be molded to the clear plastic. when i feel like it i am gonna throw this in the oven again to see if it will losen and come out. unless anyone has any ideas or suggestions.

I tried that with no luck. I didn't have a spare set, so I was REALLY cautious. Go for it if you don't mind taking one for the team. Let us know how it turns out. You might have to turn up the heat quite a bit though.

Goshawk, if you want to go for it and try to take the amber out I have a set of factory signals that I will let go cheap in the interest of science . PM me if you are interested.

nightmare, this is a spare set i am playing with. i appreciate the offer tho. i am gonna try and heat it up to see what will happen. i haven't had time lately to fool with it any more. i think i will start out heating it with a blow drier to see what that can do. tbh it looks more like the amber plastic is crimped in certain spots rather than glued. dunno, i'll find out.
