Question baking factory corners

who here has baked there factory corners to take'm apart to pull the yellow off? i am getting tired of having two diff clear corners on my truck. plus i think i like the factory ones better in appearance. just skeptical about sticking them in the oven for 10 minutes. i also want to do this to my wifes TB but if i do it i will experiment with mine first.

few people have said they did it on other sites, but we all know, this is the site where you can almost always trust what others tell you.

I've used that technique on my fogs with good results. Either way, if you mess up, you can always get a set of clears for less than $50.00

yea i have a set of clears now. they are different styles tho. you won't notice it till you look close. so it isn't like i am really out anything if i mess up. i am just wanting to practice on mine and eventually throw them on my truck. then if that works out good i am going to do the corners on the TrailBlazer. these are the ones i don't want to mess up. i am sure these puppies are pricey.

so you recommend 200 degrees for 10 mins like i have read elsewhere.

I've been wanting to try this too, but I'm too afraid of ruining my Denali projectors I might just do it though for information's sake.
If I were to do it I would start out at a low temp. and check it after a couple minutes to see how the glue/adhesive holds. Then keep upping the temp. and check often until it gets kind of tacky. Hmm...I might try this tomorrow....

If you do it, make sure you pre-heat the oven, put the lights on a room-temperature oven safe plate, then stick it in the oven. Nobody likes lights with grill marks!

I have a set of factory corners for sale if you want em. That way you still have yours if you mess up.
