anyway to turn the headlights off?

thats a good idea bud... OR you can be lazy and just push the parking break down hardly till the light comes on... the parking break wont be engaged but you can just turn your parking lights on... this is probably kinda dangerous if you had an e-brake failure.. but its a quick fix, lol

Thanks...I almost neglected to mention that the LED has to be wired in the same direction as the photodiode, or the lights will be on all of the time. For those who don't know, current will only flow in one direction through a diode (it's like an electronic check valve), and it blocks current in the other direction. They have a positive and negative side.

I put a resistor in the plug that the photo sensor came out of. Worked like a charm, easy an no soldering.
