Default Anyone removed wiper arms/cowl???

I got the bolt off, but hell if I can get the "rock back and forth method" to work on getting the wiper arms off. Trying to get the wiper cowl off and need to get those off first. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Here is what the service manual says for an 03 model.

1.Mark the position of the wiper blade on the windshield with a suitable
2.marker or a piece of masking tape.
3.Disconnect the washer hose.
4.Remove the cover from the nut on the wiper arm.
5.Remove the nut from the wiper arm.
6.Remove the wiper arm from the drive shaft. IMPORTANT: Use a battery terminal puller to remove the wiper arm from the drive shaft.
7.Clean the knurls of the drive shaft with a wire brush.

See that puller factor is what I don't have. THe haynes says to rock it back and forth, looks like I'll be putting it back together defeated.

I remember I had to play with mine to get them off. I think I pulled the wiper up, where it bends, off the windshield and it made it easier to get off the stud.
