Just curious, got a tahoe grille and the center chrome piece looks like it's just a snap in piece that is soldered/melted on the inside to keep from popping out. Just wondering how hard it would be to swap the piece from my grille into the tahoe one. See pic for the melted/solder pieces in the corners.

 

i popped the chrome strip out of my grille when i painted the shell, grind down the melted spots with a dremel or something and it'll come out. i used plastic epoxy to put it back together.

 

Yep thats exactly what I did. I used a dremel and grinded down all the places that were melted together then used plastic epoxy and glued it all back together. Still holding strong after 2 yrs
