The powder coat will hold up -
Talk with a powder coater - esp a larger one with a good rep

I talked to a guy at a show a couple of weeks ago, and he said that they could do an acrylic clear powdercoat. I saw some wheels that he had polished and cleared, and they looked as good if not better than any billets I'd ever seen. As soon as I get mine re-hooped, they'll get polished and acrylic clear powdercoated.

Yes, I've heard nothing but good comments about the clear powdercoating. I know a guy that is really into Corvairs (no, I'm not kidding), and he is going to have the bare steel exhaust clear powdercoated on his '64 Turbo Corvair after it's welded together so it looks like it just rolled off the showroom floor FOREVER.

I sold a NEW set of Centerline Stingrays to 04BlackSilverado and he had them clear powdercoated. He says they look great, and I agree based on the pictures.

I have been thinking about doing this for a while but have been hesitant to peel my $$ wheels and hand them over to a painter, then again, I am SICK of polishing!

There are literally hundreds of powder painters in this area, guess i'll start making some calls!

I used the Gords polish...it worked pretty well. Made my wheels a lot easier to keep clean.
