Hi-
I've posted a few times in different places about my '55 Chevy truck project. I've been trying to get things planned for a while now and just getting ideas for what might be the best looks and performance. You know, just research in general.
My question in this forum is about wheels. A little background first:
My dad and I worked on a 55 p/u for about 6 years and were near completion. All that was left was final paint/body work and interior and dropping the motor in. It was stolen right from our home and NEVER seen again. For those on this site, you know how devestating it would be to lose this type of project. Well, now I have rounded up the body parts, frame, base for an LS1 powerplant, and some odds and ends and am trying to get everything started once again. The first truck had Mickey Thompson Sportsman 16" wide rears on Weld pro star or grag star wheels. I want to bring the original ideas to this new project, but I really want to use 20" wheels on the rear. I have been talking with a wheel widening company that says they can widen the newer Greg Weld stars to the specs I need, but I can't find the fronts that I need to match 20" wheels. As far as I know there are no 18" prostar/dragstar (froget what the actual name is) and I was wondering if any of you have seen rides with 15" fronts and 20" rears and if that would look too awkward. Or, maybe you know of a wheel that would match the prostar for 18" fronts. If you have any pics of vehicles with 15 fronts/20 rears, or any ideas of what I could come up with for fronts, I would be greatly appreciative. Otherwise I may just go 15 front and rear. Please let me know what you think.
Thanks!!
Jarrett

There is a guy here with 20" by 18" in the rear in a regular cab newer chevy with matching fronts, i think they were custom made intro wheels, give intro wheels a call to see what they can do for you!
