I can't really comment too much since im 4WD, but the Bilstein shocks I have on are really nice. Firm but soak up the harsh stuff well.

I like McGaughy's, I'm running their 16"+ spindles real nice pieces just a little more involved w/install (balljoint gets moved), their c-notch looks the beefiest out of them all (don't have it now but did in the past) + the helper bag kit they make for it is a nice option.

I had Belltech 3" drop springs but didn't like them, too harsh, I imagine their 2" springs would be ok just like the McGaughy's 2" springs I ran for a little bit.

I also had Belltech 17"+ spindles, good quality just like McG's (I wanted to run my 16"s so I swapped)

The best shocks I've used are RideTech... I don't like my Belltech Street Performance shocks I have out back, changing them soon.

Just my opinion since I've spent way too much on suspension... McGaughy's > Belltech. don't even bother with DJM.

I would run spindles and a good mono-tube shock (adjustable if you can), that should keep the ride the closest to stock.

Are you running the Brillstein 5100 Series yellow shock or the 5150 Stainless Shocks ? I have the 5100's on all four's... the front is "ok" but sloppy and mushy feeling through the turns. The rears just plain suck...... rides like total dump :/

Yeah I've seen DJM's products, I'm not very impressed with there "high quality" parts. Plus there silver vein finish they use on most of there products just flakes off after a year or so. Was that a statement about Hotchkis supposed to be saying that they are good parts or are not good parts?

They're the 4600 series that I know come on the AWD SS Silverados. I ordered mine for an 03 SSS since my Z71 is sitting at the same ride height.

I see, thanks for the reassurance on not using DJM's products. As for Hotchkiss there drop springs are discontinued, they still sell them tho, but they have been off the market for a few years. I have used their products before on some of my older builds. I guess they have to sell off the NOS

Beeblebrox.....aren't most of the ride tech shocks bags or coilovers, not a mono tube..... most of their products that I have searched for are complete bag upgrades or conversions with upper and lower arms etc. Can you elaborate a bit more on the their products that you have used

I'm pretty sure Beeblebrox is running coilovers up front check this thread out. I plan on switching to this as well.

And like others have said, stay away from DJM. It works, but welding and finish are sub par. Definitely wouldn't use them again.

As far as I know all of their shocks are mono tube type (bag and coil), they have a new line of smooth-body stand alone shocks that are mono tube as well, which I plan on getting for the rear of my truck.

I have their single adjustable coil-overs on the front of my truck, using the stock upper and lower control arms and no modifications.

So the coil overs are giving you your desired height? How is the ride difference using them by them selves, as opposed to lowering shocks with spindles or lowering springs? What did the front coil overs run you if you don't mind me asking, and would you happen to any part numbers of the parts you have or are planning to use so I can get a better under standing of how their parts work. Thanks
