Default 345/30-18 on a 18x10.5" wheel

it is possible. i know because i have one mounted right now. that said, for me, it's very far from desirable due to having too much of a deep-dish style, so i'm in the process of trying to get a smaller tire to replace it. the tread sticks way too far out from the fender for my taste.

That is exactly what size tire i ran on my old school s10 blazer with a small block and Z06 wheels. they hooked really well being over 13 inches of contact.

Depending on the actual rear suspension set up a wider tire can actually hurt traction.. That tire just doesn't even look safe on that wheel..

oh yeah... i should probably mention that for those not familiar with Nitto Invos, the biggest 18" tire they make is a 295/35, and that's what this was until Sat night. i must've ran over something that caused this

and likewise was running flat until i could get off the interstate & see what had caused the new slight vibration in the car. obviously, it had rode on the sidewall long enough to completely obliterate the sidewall belts & this is what happened when i tried to put enough air to get home on (i didn't know there was a hole at the time)

looking at the inboard side, you can see that as soon an i inched the car forward to check the rollability, the entire tread swelled & shifted 3" out!

so for those who still don't get the joke, i know good & well a 13.5" wide tire should NEVER be put on a 10.5" wheel... and it physically can't happen with a sidewall this short anyway.

i just thank God my stock fronts hadn't sold yet & i hadn't dismounted them either. it's what got me home. when we rolled this one away from the car, you can just hear bits of shredded crap rolling around inside the tire

you sure? C5Z wheels are only 10.5" wide & would fit exactly like this (if you could even physically get them to flex that much). C6Z wheels are 12" wide, but they're 19s

Ill be honest man, that was a terrible, reckless decision to try and drive with that setup. It is clear the tire is too wide and short for the wheel. I am surprised whoever mounted it actually did it. If it was my shop no way you would have left with that tire mounted simply due to liability. You are VERY lucky you didnt injure yourself or someone else driving near you.

haha... you really missed some key phrases in my last post. shoot - the only tire that size i've even heard of is a drag tire. this tire was made as a 295/35-18 (the same size tire GM put on this same size wheel on the Z06s). tons of people also run 305/35-18s on this size wheel as well (and even a few 315s).

i got a flat while driving & the simple act of rolling on the soft sidewalls destroyed the insides. with limited light at 1am, i didn't feel anything sticking out (and couldn't see the hole), so i tried putting some air in it after it cooled off to see if i could putt back home, and this is what happened when i rolled it forward to see if it'd hold up. the sidewalls were still flush before i tried to move. as soon as i saw this, i parked & had a friend bring one of my 'spares' & tools. i ain't a retard!
