Default 2500HD Cab lights?

i have an 06 2500HD and i am almost positive that my wires are already up above the head liner, because my switch is already in the dashboard. Is this correct. i have the snow plow prep package on the truck. if the wires aree up there how easy is it to get to the wires? any help would be great thanks

I find it odd that they would come without one. I believe headliner can be removed by undoing the trims around the edges that hold it up and carefully dropping it down.

Bump again for you. plenty of members on here have removed headliner so I'm sure you'll get an answer.
I wonder if Silver 06 HD ever figured it out in the 2 years.

I think the snow plow prep package is for the warning light/flashing light while you plow. I think it's seperate from the cab clearance lights.
The one way to find out is to take the headliner down or loosen it up and look above and see what's there.

I have a 2003 2500 with the button. If I did have the wires already, would i be able to get a replacement kit or would I need a aftermarket kit? Also, whoever has put clearance lights on, what brand did you use. I don't like the recon one because it doesn't look like it puts out enough light.
