I say 20's all the way on a truck, but 17's on a car. They don't hinder performance as much as 22's, but still look bawler.

20's are nice, but NO traction!

If you want to keep a decent ride, go with 20's. I would have went with 22's but you are right they were almost $1600 more than the 20s. I have 20x8.5 Centerline Stingrays with 275/55R20 Falken STZ04 tires. Which centerlines were you looking at?

I recently got a set of 20'' centerline rapids with 275's in front and 285's in the rear. I only put them on to see how they look and to take a quick spin b4 the truck went on the trailor and down to the shop. I spun the 285's on a 15 roll for about 60-70 feet. The truck seemed to handel alittle better on the on ramp too. As blownchevy said "20's are nice, but NO traction". but i still say 20's are the way to go.

I have 20" Centerline Lexi's and they cost me about 3-4 tenths in the quartermile. I am thinking about selling them and getting a set of 18" Budnik Grid sixes. After seeing them on SmokinRice's truck I think I want a set! Plus, Nitto makes a Drag Radial in a 305/45/18 which would be about the size I am after. Check out the link to the other post where SmokinRice has a pic of his truck, and tell me that ain't one bad lookin' ****! My truck is the same color only extended cab, and I can just imagine how bad it would look with those smokin' wheels.

You can run good numbers with big wheels, you won't run as good as you would with lighter and better hooking wheels and tires but you can still put down some good times.
With my Lightning back in 01 when I was running 22x10 KMC bofas and 285/30/22 dunlop sport 9000's I used to run 12.0's on that tire and wheel combo.
My truck runs 10.80's on slicks now but I think I will bring it back to the track in the spring to see what it will run on 20's. That is what I use on the street now, 20" Budniks.
