Default 2006 Sierra 1/2 Esky Handles Installed

Just installed 2 of the 4 Escalade handles on my 2006 Sierra. Thanks to Mark who done a step by step install with photo instructions and posted it here, I decided to give it a try. As it turned out it was fairly simple. It took me a little longer than most say it took them about an hour for the two next two will go quicker im sure. Thanks Mark. Now just a couple questions I noticed there was no seal around the handles, what keeps the water out ? And on the drivers side the door lock cylinder does it come out with the handle ? If so do I need a special tool to change it ? Thanks Ron

don't worry about the seals. no need there! the lock cylinder does come out with the handle. use a flat head screw driver to pull the clip out a little while pulling on the cylinder.

No need for seals since there are 2 drain holes at the bottom of the door. As for the lock cylinder, use a flat screwdriver or needle-nose pliers to pull off the C-clip.
