Default 2/4 or 4/6

well im thinking of doing a drop just not sure on the size of the drop i have the vho rims with 285/50/20 what drop would you all use.what is c-notching the fame mean

YOu wont get those wheels and tires on a 4/6 truck. 4/6 looks better i think than a 2/4, but will be more expensive, less ride quality, and less ground clearance. C notch is when you cut a notch out of the rear frame and then reinforce it with a bolt on bracket. It is notched so the axle has room to travel without bottoming out.

255/35, 285/30 265/30 265/35 one of those i guess, maybe you could make some others work. 275/45 will work, but will rub some

i have the Hotchkis 2.5/4 with extra 2 inch shackles in the back. It makes it about a 3/6. I have 265/40/22 tires.

4/6 no question. 2/4 trucks just aren't very low, at least to my eyes.

Dub Silverado is right, those tires don't have a chance on a 4/6 and might be a bit much even for 2/4. If going 4/6 go with 255/35 and 2/4 you can run 275/45 and be OK.

Depends on how the rd is id say go with a 4/6 but if you live were theres speed bumps potholes etc etc go with a 2/4 why just dont get a 3/5!

Id like to go lower, but im not cutting the frame on my new truck. Im pretty much very happy with my 3/4.5 drop.

just settle in the middle and get a 3/4.
