A 275/60/18 or 285/60/18 would be a much better fit for a stock height truck. Nitto makes a NT404 that is a V rated tire in the 275/60/18 size.... I am planning on picking up a set of them soon.

awesome! thanks man!!! 275/60 doesn't sound bad, I really want something wider than the stock 265s.

It is a good compromise in width/height. Agreed, 265's are just a little too narrow....

60 series sidewall isnt gonna be near big enough for a stock height nnbs truck. just for comparisson, ehre's BlackGMC's truck with 275/60/17's and his truck is dropped 2/4. not a real good comparisson picture, but it does give you an idea of the sidewall height of a 60 series tire. and i think you can tell from this picture that its gonna be too small

overall diameter of stock 265/65/18 is 31.56, with a width of 10.43.
the 275/60/18 31.18, and width is 11.14, 285s go up to 31.46 and 11.22 wide. I wont be losing much height, but gaining the width im really looking for. Of course, it will still look like a stock truck on 18s, but until I lower it, thats really what it is, lol.

also, garrett, i noticed you referred to NNBS...my rig is an 04, this would be just NBS correct?

lol, i didn't know if u were thinking I had the newest body style or if the 99-02 was considered NBS, lol.

I have decided on the 285/60...now just to decide on which tire. I like the 285/60, bcuz eventually I do planning on a minor drop on the truck, probably 2/4, and think the 285/60 will still look good with that. I'll eventually upgrade to a 20", or knowing me, trade the truck off, lol.
