Ohh, and 16s will fit. They should have came on there stock unless they changed something for 04'?

 

Yes a 16" wheel will fit. I have an 04 Avalanche Z71 (WBH). It is basically a Silverado front end. I have a 35 x 12.50 R16. I love it. I was kind of hesitant about going from the 17 to the 16, but I wanted the mud tire. I have a 6" RCD lift and the tires rub a little. I haven't gotten around to trimming it yet, but I will soon. I am only going to take a little bit off. I really love the look of it. I am not into the whole Bling thing either. I wanted to go for the off-road look. It is a 4wheel drive after all.

Here is a pic of the 16" wheels on my Avalanche. I know it is not a Silverado, but the front is very similar.

An 04 Z71 is no differant than a 03 Z71, The Standard Fender Flares and 17's were a cosmetic mod on the 04' only.
I'll eat my words if the 04's have bigger calipers now.

 

I kind of thought that but the local tire place tried to tell my buddy that they where different so thought this was the best place to find out for sure.
