Default 1/2 ton trucks with HD hoods?

I saw a truck with the HD hood and i though it looked awesome. Kinda looks like the 67-72 chevys. Anybody else do this swap? How much did you get the hood for?

I was thinking of doing this to my new truck. I didn't know it was possible but LM7 mentioned it and I envisioned it would look sweet. I would like to see soem pics if anyone has any.

There was a recent post of someone selling their truck...with pic. It was a black RCSB and looked nice!

Yes, on '99-'02 1/2 tons the HD hood will bolt right on.

I'm doing that exact same mod on my Tahoe right now. The hood will run you $250-$475 for a original Chevy hood depending on which dealer you use. There's a place here in San Diego that sells Chinese made replacement parts for all brands of vehicles. They want $109 for an HD hood. Most of the smoothie bumpers and rollpans that you see advertised in the truck mags come from overseas. Then theres paint... it'll be $300-$500 depending on your color. If you are metalic, they have to blend onto your fenders, I've got the dark grey metalic so I'll be payin the extra change.

I just put an HD hood on my Z-71. I don't remember what it costs, cause my insurance paid for it. I had a little run-in with a concrete pole. I'll try to put some pics up when I get it back from my buddy's shop; it's also getting a front-end replacement bumper/grille guard.

Hey Thanks for the compliment.

The Hd hood will fit with no modifications on a 99-02 Silverado.
