but then I would be like EVERYONE else putting together a Cookie Cutter Chev.... and yes... I am envious what does it take to earn respect from guys like you? 12s N/A..... does it have to be 10s? or will it only take a Chev truck??

TJ
Dude youve hit the brick wall for now, what is your best NA run?,yes 12 NA would be respectible.Someday when that happends what will the drivability be like? fuel mileage wont be good like and dependability? the chevys cover all the bases now, when your days come along ,the newer technology will have long past you buy when you can buy a new truck that puts down 400+HP stock. You know your one of the lucky ones, you know how many new posts start up every week on the dodge forums with major issues on stock or mild hemis with less than 36K miles, and it has seward a few hemi boys that have had to pony up once out of warrenty,a lot have jumped ship. But your hemi is the exception for dependibility and mileage would you agree?
LMAO i didn't have to do all that to put a sticker on.Honestly i have the utmost respect for any ride that is fast.If you win you win simple as that.
Hell look at some of my post you will see i take up for Dodge guys often.
The sticker is more just a way to get some races honestly and it fit in the thread which added some funny value.
I'll put it to you like this.In my area i never once lost to a Hemi with my 5.3l with bolt ons.
I'm not saying i can't lose in fact yours would beat me.
Basically all i'm saying is i didn't have to do jack to put on the sticker i mainly have it to lure people into raceing me.
Take it how you want and i'll have track times by Nov 4th.

Both of you should be able to WAY outrun my stock engined Hemi..... but maybe not...... I have shown Many my taillights that said a Hemi had no chance..... funny thing, if I owned thier trucks I would have beaten the Hemi... but then I would be like EVERYONE else putting together a Cookie Cutter Chev.... and yes... I am envious.... of only your ability to tune but that will not last forever....
Oh and my truck has only been down for a week ( Body Shop ) thankx to a Ford truck shark that took a bite out of my azz... hey! when I got it back it was 2 tenths faster!!! It has Never spent any time in the Mechanix shop and is my daily driver.... 60,044 to date... I do not baby this truck as evidenced by the literally HUNDREDs of timeslips...
Oh WTF.... it really does not matter... I will keep my truck and the times will come down... I am curious though? what does it take to earn respect from guys like you? 12s N/A..... does it have to be 10s? or will it only take a Chev truck??

Again i take up for the Dodge guys fairly often. I really don't put down em at all. Talk is cheap and like i said i'm hoping the sticker will draw races.
I'm sure someone will say then why did you say since you got blah blah blah done it's safe.
Honestly just because it adds a funny value as i said before.
Again take it how you want.

no... I can't really agree with all of that... some have jumped ship, getting tired of waiting for the aftermarket support.... BUT I don't have far to look on the Chevy, OR Ford, OR Titan boards to find the same issues of premature problems..... You can also look for a Dodge coming to your neighborhood with 425 HP under the hood....
My best run so far is a 13.89 N/A and I posted that a year ago ... you must remember that is with a FULL Factory exhaust and a totally uncracked engine. Only the HomeDepot CAI and Sparkplugs are not factory. I would imagine only TBSSs can make the same statement for that time. ( I would hope that particular Chev will get Dodge off thier azz ) As far as my N/A times, I already have a projection of bolton mods that will get me to 13.20s once I am able to throw cash in that direction... unfortunately the BIG MAN took a and I did not get out of the way quick enough.... so I will remain where I am for a while....
I will find myself in the 12s and I will be willing to make a bet now that says the engine will still be uncracked... that's right, 12s in a HEMI without a CAM or spray! This is of course provided that I can dig myself out from under the Big Man's

TouchOf Evil I was pulling your chain, your truck looks clean and with that 6.0 it should be a beast.
Now Gonzo come on, the only reason my truck is in the shop is because I wrecked it and I am having other body work done as well. I told you before that the only thing my Dodge has been to the shop for is the washer motor and the LSD. Niether of which has left me walking. The T/A was taken to the dealer and they kept making excuses why not to repair it. The only excuse I saw was that it was a GM. Even after GM has repaired it I have had to go behind them and fix their repairs. I have had to do the same on my 2004 GM service van. This has been between two GM dealerships who can't find a good tech between them. The T/A has had more problems than my Jeep with 178k hard miles on and off road and my Dodge with 37k miles on it, put together. As I said before my experiences lead me to make my choices. Either GM has something against me or it just isn't the vehicle for me. And as for you, I enjoy talking with you and have no ill will towards you, just your truck...lol

wow, this is one beast of a thread... The way I see it, I respect anyone who's truck is faster than it was when it was stock... I don't care how it got that way, be it nitrous, FI, bolt-ons, whatever, if you are making it faster, I respect you. I own a Chevy, and no, as far as i know, it won't beat a HEMI. Do I care? No. Just like many, many others have said, there will always be someone faster than you... Buy what you like, because when it all boils down to it, YOU are the one that makes the payments on it, and if you bought something just because someone else gave you some **** about what you wanted, you will hate it for the duration...I also agree with what you guys have said about this forum tolerating the different brands better than others. That's why I love this place Alright guys, I'm done, carry on
