my gf was gonna buy and acura TL and she just decided to buy an 07 altima 3.5. she wont race it shes scared to drive fast, but her brother will beat the **** out of it so ill have him come down and race my truck. shell have it in a week or two

 

BlueSS- I live out here in Palmview behind the HEB, but I do drive around your area on my way to school sometimes.

 

I can tell you this, my g/f has a 05 GTP Comp - G, it was only stock for about a week. It has headers, exhaust, pulley, tune, and cooler. I've run a few 3.5s with just a pulley and intake/exhaust and I could pull away, after a tune and cooler it has increased to bus lenghts if not more. Keep in mind this car has 3.29 gears to the normal 2.93s. My supercharged monte (much lighter then the GTP) will reel one in and walk away from it. I'd say a 5.3 RCSB 2wd w/ 3.73s and full exhaust, tune and intake should be able to pull on the 3.5 VQ.

 

alright guys. my gf picked up her 07 altima 3.5 with the new cvt transmission two days ago. we raced from a light tonight on our way home from the grocery store. holy crap those things are quick. she starteed pullin at about 50, then at 70 i started gaining and she let off. all in all i would say it was about even. now she wont shut up. time to stick the cam it and dust her.

I finally got my friend to put this to an end. Like 06sierra5.3 said it was a damn good race. Here's the full story from a local forum.

BLUESTREAK05, Bullet(aka 1Bad02), my G/F and I went cruising Sunday night. On our way home we decided to end our bench racing on who'd win between my G/F's '07 Altima(stock) or BLUESTREAK05's(RoB) bolt-on truck . I wasnt able to get the 1st couple of runs on camera but we were pretty much even till we shut it down each time. Bullet has some more vids since he was riding shotgun with BLUESTREAK05 but I dont know if he has the vid where RoB put a truck on me and I pretty much was at his bumper till he let off.

VID-1st run was from 60-110mph with both of us pretty much side by side and the 2nd was the same from 65-125mph till BLUESTREAK05 shut down so I could give him space from a 3-2 lane merge. The Altima's 6-speed CVT auto trans really helped the car stay in its power band. I'm able to start in 4th gear and bring the RPM's up pretty high where it makes power.

Thanks to BLUESTREAK05 for always being a good sport. The little sixxer put up a hell of a race with your truck considering its stock . We'll try and get some more vids up later...ENJOY !!!

 

ive got an ec/rb with cold air cut-out and hp tuners and i ran one i started a car behind and pulled like 3 on him by the time i let off

 

it's not considered a race until both people hit the gas as hard as they can.
