hey if u dont use the 4x4 at all u can get away with just changing the rear for now and roll with it... but dont forget about and engage it cause lets just say and then when u get some more money u can switch the front to match just a thought

 

thats a possible idea. How much is it for new gears and labor to be put in? The 4x4 would start to be used when winter gets here but we have a whole summer and fall ahead of us.

and on install prices just call around to some gear and trans shops imo anywhere from 150 to 400 just depends where ya take it

My truck is 2001 ECSB 4x4 5.3 with HEAVY 22's and 3:73's. Tuned. My buddies truck is a 2000 RCSB 2wd. 3:42's with aluminum 20's 5.3 stock. We stomped it from about 55, his nose was about even with my rear end and he pulled me all the way till his door was about with my nose, then he shut off and I didnt

Sucked though. My truck is heavy as hell. 4x4 and extended cab and heavy wheels are killer.

 

Yea the weight sucks. Even with a few cheap mods he will still beat me. What do you plan to do to your truck?

 

Well I have a LS1 on the stand, but its on the back burner for now till I finish my 85s motor which should be less than a month. Id like to forge the motor and run a big shot of spray. Just havent given it a whole lot of thought yet. Hell I just got a tune last week and am looking at widebands so he can fine tune the tune lol....Plus I just finally figured out everything I'll need to do my blue led interior, ordered all that tonight....got a vette servo in the garage that needs to be installed as well as a trans temp gauge.....bought some white faced gauges....

anyways. one day after I finish all the small dumb **** I might be able to build something worth dropping in lol.

 

Gotcha. Yea there's a lot of choices. I want few go fast mods first. I have some 265/70/17 tires that I need to get on and see how much better the truck feels.

 

to give you an idea on tires.. my z71 came stock with 265/70/17s which is 31.7 inches tall.. i put 285/70/17s on it which are 32.8 inches tall.. when i raced my friend in a 2500hd with some mods with the smaller tires i could pull about 1.5 truck lengths on him.. now with the 285's he's right next to me
