4.7 ecsb is egging me on.. we are on the hw. so he punched it and so did i .. i let off after i put 5 lenghts on him and we lined back up.. i rolled the window down and gave him a toast (raised my budlight) and said to him " shoulda got a hemi" he laughed and said that my truck was fast.. i said nice race peace.

headers will be installed this weekend. btw

some ppl say they cant tell a power difference between the hemi and the 4.7.
non racers obviously. stock for stock i believe the hemi will eat it by 10+ lenghs.. i dunno.. as far as CCs go the ram runs low 15s and what does the 4.7 run? i beat him as bad as that 98 ecsb 4.6 ford.. i racing trucks..

too bad i have a CC. but my plan is lts this weekend, then gears, then wheatley tune. im hoping to break 14s.

Personally I'd rather take the 4.7 than the hemi, as I feel it is stronger throughout the whole powerband, I cannot stress this enough.. i HATE the new hemis.

 

so stock for stock how does it go? 5.7(tundra)6.0>5.7>5.6>5.3>4.7(tundra)5.4>4.8>4.6?

trd 5.7- 14.0
6.0-mid 14s?
hemi-mid 14s maybe 14.6-7
5.6 titan-14.8
5.3-about the same as the hemi, maybe slightly slower.
4.7-the 280hp is supposibly faster than the hemi rcsb but i doubt it
5.4- lol high 15s?
4.8-slow
4.6-17s.. who cares lol

i think the 4.8 should be moved up a couple places i used to woop on 5.4 and 4.7 with my 01 ecsb 4.8

 

if its a rcsb 4.8, they will really move. i'd say they will keep up with a ecsb 5.3. there's not too much hp diff.

damn i didnt know the 4.8 was that good.. i guess bc i only drove one in a CCSB.

 

I raced one once, actually it was my bosses CC old style one w/exhaust-intake. I took off on him so bad he gave up like 300ft out from a dig by the way. It was my old truck 5.3 with just programmer, CAI, exhaust. should have bet him a raise lol. He was complaining of the throttle by wire but I have one now and it works fine. hahaha
