So as I'm merging on the interstate going about 85mph ( i like going fast when merging just bc those ppl that like to merge at 50 really tick me off and are going to get me killed one day, but anyway), and this red 302 stang sees that im entering the interstate pretty quickly so he speeds up and does a ricer fly by. I give chase and he realizes and slows down and gets into the slow lane. I hear him romp on it and try to pull on me and I hit it late, we might have been going about 70 at this point when he decided to take off... i close the gap and he almost runs over the car in front of him... I was hoping he didnt think i did that on purpose.. but he gets on my *** so i move over and than we get to have a good clear run from about 60mph or so. We both punch it at about the same time, I have him all the way to the 2-3 shift by about 5 car lengths and he suddenly closes the gap quick and edges past me at the end of my 3rd gear...

Real nice guy it turns out and we talked for a sec, he told me he hit the nitrous as i pulled away... only 100 shot but it sure made up for lost ground, ah well... moral of the story... my 4.8 NEEDS A BOTTLE!

Damn dude Moral of the story is your 4.8 just whooped *** on a 5.0 with a lighter body thats somthing to be proud of. Good kill in my book

Thanks man, I cant wait to see what 01thunder does next on the track with the new work he just did, i'll have that to shoot for and it will be interesting to see which one of us come out on top for the fastest n/a 4.8L. More than likly he will, i'm having some tuning issues from time to time and my local track is SLOW, but those are all my excuses for running whatever times i run

 

well good luck, I'm sure you'll get the tuning figured out...it just takes a little time thats all. Just think though, once the tuning side is takin care of, and of course a few more bolt ins, that 4.8 should scream
