Default Ran a Vortech Max and Cobalt SS

Was out cruising last night about midnight-ish, looking for a little fun and found it. Im just leaving a light on an open four lane and a Chevy Vortech Max comes out of nowhere with an older guy driving filled with abunch of younger women, most of them blonde in the front and back seat. They are all hollering out the window having fun as we had a couple of mild roll races. It was pretty fun, I was just messing withem for the most part but it took a little more than I thought to play catch-up when they punched it ahead of me. We caught a light and chatted a little bit (hard to hear over dumped exhuast no muffler) and he asked me what I had in it (Im thinkin I want what he has in his truck lol) and told him a 6 liter with some bolts ons. He said "dont sound like no 6 liter" lol. Pretty cool guy and we went our seperate ways. Shoulda askedem where they were headed

Shortly after on the same road heading the opposite direction an orange Cobalt SS comes speeding up on me and paces me at about 50 mph flashing his lights and playing with the throttle. I ablige him by dropping it into 2nd with a quick tap of the gas and a few light flashes as we roll along side by side. He punhes if first and gets the jump and I bang my rev limitter comming out of second gear (I shift manually because Im not tuned for my gear ratio). We went up around 110mph with him half a car in front where he stayed the hole time So I wait to catch a little straight away from a 50 roll again and this time we leave even. I took him by about 2-3 by 120 + mph (fast little fugger). When we caught a light about a mile up, we chatted a little and he said his was stock and he had a passenger . Pretty cool guy though, we gave eachother the thumbs up when we turned our seperate ways.

He probably thought you said 6 cylinder and you heard 6 liter back.

those cobalt SS/SC are a LOW 14 second ride and normally have problems with traction

I donno about a 14..? maybe if it got bite right away or he ROASTS the clutch coming off the line 2 keep from tire spin. The 1st night I bought my truck I did a dead stop with a buddy of a buddy's cobalt. My truck had the full stock exhaust and NOTHING but 2 people and my heavy foot. I took him off the line and then he passed me about 40 or so and I held him at about 1 1/2-2 cars. Rolling start (15-20) him and I were dead even till he pounded second and I taxed 1st and had 2 shift. So he had more than just a stock cobalt SS

What ever they run and what ever he had done to it, it was quick. I have not lost to a mustang yet and usually pull them by 2-3 with no problems and have lost only to a 2001 Camaro that had an intake, exhaust, and gears by 2 lengths. That little bugger stayed next to me through the better part of 2nd gear and I just inched ahead slowly, hell I was even leaning forward in my seat to make my truck go faster.

I had a 07 Cobalt ss/sc DA corrected it was 14.2 1/4 mile car. Stock ones run 14.2 - 14.9, They are rated at 205hp but they all dyno above 205 to the wheels stock. but its not hard to get these things into the 13's, with pulley, intake, exhaust, H/E, cooling mods, tunning, and slicks you are in the 12's.
