It really depends on the year.99-00 L's have 3.55 gears while 01+ have 3.73s.My tach redlines @ about 5300.Stock might be around there but since mine's tuned I might be going a little past that.I haven't really paid attention. The 302 rwhp sounds pretty low.I've heard even stock 99-00 L's put down around 320 at the wheels.Who knows maybe he wasn't running the best int he world when he dynoed.

My Buddie Has An 02 Lightning With Bassani Exhaust And A Diablo Chip Tuned By Strictly Performance. He Ran A 13.2x With A 2.0 60' On Toyo Proxes. So I Imagine Bone Stock Would Be A 13.6-13.8? Not Sure Though....

It depends on the driver. These trucks are a b**** to launch in on street tires.I've heard of stock 01+ Ls knocking down low 13 w/ a good launch.

They made some changes mid way through the second gen that improved performance. And they really don't like to be hot lapped. I would say the average (stock) Lightning with a average driver would be a 14 flat on the street.

My ex '00 went 13.60s completely stock at near-sealevel tracks (NPR in Louisiana and Sacramento Raceway in CA), 13.30s with just a chip. I'd been racing trucks for a while, though, and both those numbers were very much at the low end of the scale.

The '01s-later have better gearing and more power, so they can run 13.50s pretty solidly.

Stock they hate hot lapping, but a chip takes care of whatever the computer does to slow them down.

I've seen stock Lightnings run anywhere from 13.4 to 13.7 (best runs of the night). The 13.4 was pretty unbelievable, at first. Later 13.5s & 6s seemed normal, once everyone leaned how to launch 'em.
I suggest, the "low" dyno #s are due to the fact that it was a Mustang dyno. Mustang dynos always show lower #s than Dynojets like the 248c because they factor in different ... Well, factors.

I saw a bone stock 01 L run 14 flat several runs. At the end of the night, he managed a 13.9. 500ft above sea level at ~ 75* but humid (80%RH). I was a little slower as well by a tenth or two so he most likely ran high 13's. He was an experienced driver.

Saw another one doing mid to high 10's. Full drag with cage. NICE

High 10s is pretty tough to get to w/o a large amount of $$.There's a couple guys that went to the WFC last weekend running 8s I believe in Gen 1s.

You're right about the Dyno, but you only figure around 10% loss on those. My truck bone stock baselined at 360/430 with 65,000 miles on it. Even on a Mustang dyno he should've been around 320 or 330. My guess is he dynoed on a hot day and the comp pulled timing.
