My buddy just picked up a 2012 392 Hemi Challenger that I wanna run. I already know the outcome though.

 

With the dark windows looks like your truck has no driver. Truck runs strong.

 

I am honestly not that impressed with them. The numbers on the track they throw down are really not that much quicker than the 6.1 was. I used to have an 06 SRT Charger myself that I modded so I know what they can do. Not to mention they had to incorporate that MDS garbage into the 6.4....... And in usual Dodge fashion by the time you would normally turn over the car, some Diablo tuning might be available.... Pass.

 

The RTs arnt that impressive. My buddies SRT8 is a beast. Still breaking it in. Only has 400 miles on it lol

 

it had to have been a v6, a friend of mine has a 2010 charger r/t (stock) and he blows me away. i definitely enjoyed it though, it was a very close run.

 

Well let's see what he runs..... And no I never liked anything with a 5.7, lol. My 6.1 SRT8 was an easy 12.7-12.8 second car with more or less only a tune and a 180 degree t-stat. Traction was an issue more than anything else. I ended up putting a 3300 rpm convertor in mine and added the Getrag limited slip diff your buddies car would have now, but sold it shortly thereafter. Tuning is such a joke with Dodge......

 

Yea, his 2011 truck has the 5.7 HEMI and ran a best of 15.5. The Challenger should be in the high 12s if he can learn to shift it.

 

6 speed.... well that will take some practice, lol. His Ram ran about the same as my 09 crew I kept for about 10 months did.... I got a 15.3 @ 89 mph out of mine by keeping it cool and pushing it through the staging lanes, lol. 15.5 @ 88 was it's first run. Boooorrrrrriiiiinnnnggggg
