Default Raced a VHO

raced a VHO yesterday going home from work... he was just cruising down the freeway when I saw him so I get next to him and give him a rev he looked over and kind of smiled but did not go due to traffic.... so we go down about a mile and he gets in front of me to try and get around traffic, so he (we) finally had a chance to get around a car when I see him go WOT(60mph roll)(remember I am still behind him) so I went WOT right behind him to get around the car and slowly started gaining on him by the time I hit 100mph on my speedo we were neck to neck...and I guess his shutdown right there cause I pulled hard after that..... nice guy i waited for him to catch up and he gave me the thumbs up!!!! the truck looked stock didnt seem to have an exhaust either.... do stock VHO's have a speed limiter too?? I was really happy that I ran good against it.... cant wait till the winter comes around to go to the track, I am hoping for some high 14's..

New to the site, but I was able to convince my wife to get a VHO . She did step down to a much slower vehicle. But she does seem to like it so far.

Ok, I'll bite. What did your wife "step down" from?

It was a 03' Mach 1, she wanted to get something bigger and get away from the 5sp. Best times in it was a 12.8@106. I think she just wants to beat Hemi's in this truck.

Yeah, that's a definite step down in the speed department, but the VHO with few mods will get in the low 14's/high 13's which is quick enough to surprise a lot of folks. Heck, most folks running against a Mach 1 would not be surprised to lose, the VHO is a different story. The look on the face of a ricer driver when that big "farm" truck beats him is priceless

Congrats and Welcome!
