06's are slow as hell, no offense. they have different heads, and the new MDS system really bogged them down. when i worked at roush doing ORVT testing, we ran my truck against a stock 2 door short cab hemi, and i completely raped it. the newer hemi's have the same horsepower, but their low end just isnt the same as the geni 1 hemi's.
and yes, the mods did help a bit. the intake helped the throttle response, and wide open, the tuner opend it up everywhere, and the catback exaust killed my midrange. getting rid of that when i get some new headers.

i have a hard time seeing ur truck beating some of those like titan and the SSS from ur posts and how u talk u drive the **** out of ur truck on the road and even worse off it. All im saying is with as many "Races" u get into and the crap u get for the claims u make i would invest in some sort of video recorder imho. I dont have alot done to my 5.3 not even a tune yet but ive yet to meet a hemi i couldnt pace or beat (not a call out to highly modded hemis im talking muffler and intake guys only)

 

thats fair enough, ill see if i can get ahold of a camera and take some vids next time i go out to rice night. i usually dont head out there often, but i will just for you.
i can see where youre coming from, though. alot of people dont ever beleive what my truck can do till they see it. i dont blame them. this one musta been built on a good day! but you also must remember, the first gen hemi motor's were the fastest. but they suck gas, so chrysler had us (roush) do some testing with different MDS setups and ****. gas mileage went up quite a bit, but as i stated before, the newer hemi's are slower. i've also got 3.93's. most hemi's have 3.53's, that makes a bit of a difference off the line, too.
when i raced the sss, i pulled a car on him to 60, but by 80, i barely had a bumper. we agreed to shut off at 80, so thats why i won, if we kept goin, he woulda killed me. i'd like to tun a tbss once i get my headers. i know i'd lose now, but who knows when i get the full exhaust done.
same scenario with the titan, except i pulled a lil more.
anyway, sorry if i came off as a lil cocky, but i havent lied about anythign ive run. 02vortec on here has seen my truck, and seen it run, so if he ever comes on here, he can vouch. actually, he's got a video of me racing him when he had the 100 shot on his truck before he went boost. i still dont know how i ended up in that race. dontchya love it when friends talk your ride faster than it is?

So are you SCSB or ECRB? I'm hoping you beat this SSS because you were SCSB, I could see that happening but a stock SSS SHOULD be able to take down a Hemi with your mods(I believe) then again, I totally know what you mean by factory freak. This thread scares me if you are an EC because I need to get more mods if so.
