I'd never give up the Tahoe for a truck. Glad to hear you're having some fun with it. The real laughs come when you, four of your co-workers, and all your junk in the back are on your way to lunch and you spin the tires off the line smoking the Mustang in the next lane.

nope, i started ordering parts last night to build my own

trying to decide on which turbo to use. i want to go budget with it. a mp t70 looks interesting but i can get a precision sc61 for a prety good price. the sc61 is rated at 680fwhp. i need to do more research.

I've got a MP T-70 on my 4.8. I like the power, but it is a little slower to build boost (4k in the rear mount), but feels much stonger once it does spool (10 psi). This turbo is much quieter then my T60 was though. I think it my be cuz it not turning as fast. The 70 is rated to make 850fwhp.

I would think the 70 would be the one to go with to keep the IAT's down and keep it from boosting easy in traffic. Boost brings on P.E. which kills milage. You're better off with your daily driver to only be in boost on purpose.
