Default Me Vs. V-Max

Came upon a very good looking Chevy VMax with dual exit exhaust and matching tonneau cover and of course he tried and of course he failed BUT when we talked at the next light he told me he had a few mods, was looking for a SC setup and had an Allison trans?

Do the new Vmax's have Allisons? Whats the shkinny

no the vmax does not have an allison trans and the only way he could have put one on his is to have at least a 2in. body lift like the hds have

unless he was a hd then he would have to have the dmax or 8.1L

no vmax has the allison stock and no 6.0L has the allison stock

i dont know if he just didnt know what he was talking about or if the salesman told him wrong or what

He was up at least 2". Dont the Ally's rob a lot of power? More than the 4L80, right? He moved out pretty damn good for a NA truck.

No, not much of a kill for my mods but I was curious because he told me he had done a tranny swap to the Allison.

Yeah, he said he had thrown a lot of $$ at it and had an Allison trans among other mods.
