FYI, blower virtual disp. put it at around 7 liters in size.

 

I mean,lets just say the L's didn't have a blower.330 and 360 can be a pretty good difference.Just like the saying my dad has always gone by "There's no replacement for displacement".

 

But there is a blower which effectively makes it much larger. Hehe.

 

It depends on how hot the motors are. A 360 dodge stock could never beat a 5.3 chevy stock. 5.3 vs 5.9L There sometimes is a replacement for displacement.

 

True but it all comes down to how the motors are set up.He** I saw a program some time ago where 289 Fords were holding there own if not beating 454s and other larger motors.It just comes down to how each motor is set up like I said before.From what I can tell motors,regardless of size,are just a hit and miss type thing.There's a guy at out usual hang out w/ a 454 custom Chevy w/ a large blower sticking through the hood.I've seen this guy take off full throttle and it looks like it bogs down really bad.

 

Dakota (3rd gen) weigh within a couple hundred lbs of Silverados, and with the 5.9 they pull slightly better times. Rams only run high 15s with 2WD RC 360s because they weigh close to 5000lb.
