Well this is just a funny little story from today, For those that dont know, I drive a 1984 chevy scottsdale with a slight lift and 31 inch tires, it has a aftermarket edelbrock 350 that puts out around 400 horses on pump fuel ,the truck itself looks like crap, and it has 2.72 gears which im going to change soon, But yeah, im young, 17 to be exact and theres a bunch of kids at school that love to talk all this crap about the cars their mommy and daddy bought them, two kids in particular that park next to each other, one has a brand new ford f150 5.3 liter, the other has a late 90's ram 1500. Both of these kids talk about how they can take my truck, so today I went out there and thought maybe I'd strike up a race by being dumb in the parking lot. So I locked the truck down in 4 high and power braked it "I know..not good on the 4 wheel drive" and lit the tires up right in front of them and left a nice set of black marks. I get to the end of the parking lot to see a green ford f150 sitting there parked sideways across the lane, with two school undercover cops leaning up against the truck. Thats when my heart sank because I knew I was busted and I knew there was nothing to do, well to make the story short, thankfully I knew both cops, and they just wanted to mess with me, and wanted to know what the heck I had under the hood to make a truck that big and bulky burn rubber like that. Hehehe, I'll be really really happy when I get a set of 3.73 gears for the rear and a 150 shot of nos , its a shame neither of the kids, followed me or cared for a race, It ought to be interesting to see what they say tomorrow in school if they say anything.

 

That is awesome that you can smoke all four tires with 400 hp and 2.72 gears.

I know the feeling. I don't think you'd go to jail for it though. Probably could get an exibition of speed ticket.

 

I'm glad that my school doesnt have undercover cops. but i've had some pretty close calls with parked cops after lighting them up out front of campus. were pretty crazy at my school with the hot rodding. a kid blacksmoked his powerstroke outta autoshop recently and the teacher didnt really care! we should all be carful though, wouldnt want to get arrested for flattening out a freshman.

 

Just curious...how do you lock a truck in 4-wheel drive, Power brake it, and light up the tires? You light up 2 or 4? And I would think the front 2 would be pulling HARD!
