Well i just got from class and asked the guy for all his mod, they are as listed:
We will have a friendly race later on this year. He claims that he can run low 12's with DR's but i highly doubt that. Ok I have $6000 to work with but will only use $3000 so i'll be aiming for that. Ok considering most of this is used/new could someone here give me an estimated guess on some things and answer a couple of questions. I would high apperciate it.
(Mods to come)
SRT: Runs 13.4 on street tires Silverado RCSB 5.3: Runs N/A
Waste gate CAI
CAI Full Exhaust(long Tubes)
Boost Controller Cam, Valve springs, pushrods
3 Inch Single Exhaust 4.10 Gears
chip 3200 Stall
Big Inner Cooler Custom Tune
weight reduction

?????Questions?????
CAI- New/Used Estimated Cost
Full Exhaust(long Tubes)-New/Used Estimated Cost(what is normally involved)
Cam, Valve springs, pushrods-New/Used Estimated Cost
4.10 Gears-New/Used Estimated Cost
3200 Stall-New/Used Estimated Cost
Custom Tune-Estimated Cost
*weight reduction*-Cost and what is normally involved

I know brand might play a major role on cost so brand does not matter to me.(hit quote to see this list better)

ball parking it now.. w/o labor btw, just part pricing

CAI- New:200-250/50-150 Estimated Cost (I wouldnt really spend a lot on this, get rid of the stock tube, cut a hole in the air box, that will save you some money)

Full Exhaust(long Tubes)-New: Some are around $400+/- some are $650+, find some used as&m headers or pacesetters... probably anywhere from 200-300 for some used ones coated or uncoated. Idk what you mean by "normally involved", but you would need to get the off-road y-pipe that goes with which ever headers you buy... look at texas speed and performance's web site.

Cam, Valve springs, pushrods-$600+ for all of it/Used eh... depends $400 or less. (use thunder racing's web site for all of that, good prices and good to deal with)

4.10 Gears-New from summit: $160 /Used... you probably dont want used.

3200 Stall-Precision, vig(higher cost): $700-900 tci about $400-500 fuddle: you'll have to ask them, they are the cheapest tho. /Used depends... $300 bucks or so?

Custom Tune-Estimated Cost...
-dyno tune depends on the place $400-600.
-mail order... w4m is probably the cheapest, nelson is a good tuner, etc etc. check with them for prices.. but quite a bit cheaper than a dyno tune.
-hptuners i think is around 500 bucks now if you wanted to do it yourself.

Okay that was all screwed up looking until I hit the quote/reply button lol. Now I see the list...

Anyway, watch out because the "new" mod list you put for the SRT-4 DEFINITELY has potential for high 12's on DR's. The wastegate coupled w/ the other mods makes a big difference. Do you know what year SRT-4 it is? Because the 05's already have stage 1 from the factory (bigger injectors and slightly more aggressive tune).

heres a solid shopping list (considering you can do all the work youself.

pacesetter ceramic coated headers and ory (450)
cutout after ory (40)
home made cai(40)
!egr (free)
throttle body bypass(free)
port and polish throttle body (free)
3.73 or 4.10 gears (expensive but worth it)
3000 or bigger converter (stay away from tci...fuddle, yank or PI are good ones...could be cheap or expensive)
cam springs pushrods
custom tune (not hypertech, superchips etc)
nitrous---to blow his doors

Myself i would do a basic build. $3000.00 can get you fairly quick and frankly 3000.00 is not alot of money when you want to go fast.
Myself i would do the following to my truck.
Contact Richard at WCCH sponsor on the right------>
Have some heads worked up for the truck. Stage One or Two depending on what he would recommend for your application.
Cam the truck...myself i'd run something like a TR/Thunder Racing 220/220-112LSA
Put some pacesetter long tubes with ORY pipe. Easy to do while pulling and putting the new heads from WCCH on the truck.
Get a TransGo HD2 shift kit corvette servo and a hughe tranny cooler somewhere in the realm of 35,000BUI maybe even 42,000BUI.
Grab some used 3.73 gears from a member on the board. Also watch the for sale section or put up a wanted ad for a stall convertor. Something in the 3000 range.
Prices on the setup:
WCCH heads-Stage I-$700.00"I believe"
WCCH heads Stage II-$1300.00"These would be my choice."
Thunder Racing cam-$350.00"or very close to it"
Paceseeter Longtubes/ORY pipe-$no more than 650.00 i think they are cheaper.
3.73 Gears-OE used-$100.00-150.00"Normally."
3000Convertor-Yank,PI,Fuddle only ones i would look at-$250.00-up"Depends on what you want really. Could be 250.00 could be 650.00 gotta pick something that you might like."
TransGo HD2 shift kit/Vette servo/Tranny cooler-$280.00 at most.
Total on all roughly-$2,330.00-3,380.00"with 3,380.00 being a highball price on the parts.

After all is said and done you will need a tune. Myself i went Wheatley and his tune is down right badass. But ask questions and go with who you think a good choice is. Ask me and all day long i'll say go Wheatley. He's a great guy and does a hell of a job for a bang up price IMO.

Well guys I raced my buddy today and let's say he handed me my ***. He's a good friend of mind and he's gonna help me build up my truck(yea the SRT4 guy). But anyway we raced from a 30mph, 40 mph, and a 50mph roll and let's say he handed my *** in all of them. From a dig he's not so quick until he hit's 3rd gear. He's not very fast but he's quick. My first mods are gonna be 4.10's, CAI, and a custom tune think i'll baseline him again in a couple of months and see what i do from a dig.

I'll be searching and considering all of your ideas. $4k seems like where everything is ball parking but i'm gonna work with as less money as i can. I'm not looking for a cheap build neither the best build. Just something to beat around on the streets.
