I was on Fumes and pulled into my usual point of fill up and ran across an acquaintance I had not seen in quite a while, he had a new model Ford 4X4 3/4 ton with the 6.0 in it and asks me if I ever race mine. I told him every chance I get! Then I notice that this station is out of 93 and He wants to race as we are leaving the station.... I tell him not there so we drive to a nearby spot that has no traffic.. we nail it from a roll and I put about a length on him to about 70 from 30. He just cannot believe it and wants to go from a stop. We stop and he immediately spools it up for about 10 secs and we go.. I leave first but by very little and he pulls me instantly, my front bumper is midway at his front door for about a second and then I reel him in and put a half a length on him to about 80... I got off of it as a car turned on the road in the distance.
We did not race again but my friend, who was not used to loosing to Hemis, just could not believe that he had been outrun.... I did not know the extent of his mods but I do know he puts N2O on EVERYTHING he owns.. I also did see a box on his dash the size of an EDGE.. but I have not seen him yet to ask him any details.... I still had to find a gas station and he went the other way but not before he told me that my truck ran well.
It would have been amusing to run out of gas while racing this guy.... NOT!
Oh and for those who are curious... I never use the N20 on the street as I always have it set for 93 octane and use the gas only on the 87 setting.. it is just too much trouble..
It's always nice to come out on top when the other guys is expecting to decimate you!

 

good run there, next time ask what mods he has lol, you going sunday to HRP?? Oh yeah sold the heads on tuesday to a buddy of mine with a 01 ecsb 5.7 its black and grey so watch out for it lol

 

Yea, I am thinking about it.... but I am expecting the Parents over so that may go down the drain...
