Dodge 2500
#1
I was on my way home and coming up to my turn off the highway when I see a lifted truck coming up kinda fast in my rearview. The light was turning red for me so I started to slow gradually so he could catch up before it turned green again.
Once I stopped and noticed it wasn't going to change yet I looked in my sideview and see its a Dodge Ram 2500. Once he stops I glance over to see if he's game but he doesn't look over. I notice a "Banks Power" sticker or something similar and figure he has some upgrades and he's probably down.
He throws a rev, and I can clearly hear the turbo spool up and exit out the exhaust. I rev back to get in on it. The lights about to change and he revs a few more times, so I keep the rpms up just a little. Light goes green we both punch it, my tires spin for a few feet and I pull on him instantly. I have about half a truck by 30, and a full truck by 70 or so. We both shut it down around 105 and I had about 2 trucks on him. We ran two more times, but the second time I left from idle, while he revved up and we were almost neck and neck, with him a hood ahead for a few moments while I started to catch up, but we had to slow for a car that was about to turn left so we shut down early. The third run was almost identical to the first with me loosing traction for a few feet then pulling a few trucks on him to about 90 or so.
He never looked over or even acknowledged I was there but just stared straight ahead and fiddled with his stereo as if nothing was happening.
While I was slowing down getting ready to turn up the next street to head back home he darts over behind me. I figured he wanted to chat for a minute. I pull to the right , but he pulls up behind aiming straight. I motion later and go on my way. I would have liked to know what he had done, but apparently he didn't want to share.
Some specs:
Me, '04 Silverado ECSB 5.3 3.73s factory 20's SLP intake, Jba headers, Borla catback, dyno tune by Justin.
Him, Quad cab Dodge Ram 2500 lifted with a dirt bike in the bed.
I was pretty happy with the outcome, I haven't had a run for like 2 years, and that was before the headers and tune, since it hasn't been my daily for a while.
