so coming back from the gym just trying to get some good gas mileage when 2 bros in a black dmax took off from the light, so of course i tried to catch him at the next light. looked stock, no tuner in the windshield, stock exhaust, but it was on 35's, maybe a small lift and was a 07-10. so next few lights we fooled around, but traffic didnt really open up until he got behind me at the next light. light turned green and i took off in haul *** mode, we probably ran to 70 or so before i let off. when i hit second gear he went from slowly creeping on me to going around me and taking off, by the time i let off he pulled 4 trucks.

by no means am i fast, especially with stock 3.73 gears with 35's with the 4l60e. all i have is GMPP CAI, MBRP cat back and BBP tune(which was done before i lifted it). tuned it for 93 and as much hp as he could get outta it for being a DD. i do have 4.88's waiting in the basement which would have helped a ton. suprised i kept up with him, figured i woulda gotten my doors blown off since i didnt have a 6-speed or gears to compensate. was pretty cool but i wish i was faster haha.

 

yea dmaxes can be pretty quick. hey sorry to get off subject but how do you like your mbrp? i ordered one but havent put it on yet

only dmax i ever raced was at the track and he pulled me hard at first but i caught him at the back end. gears helped me alot, do your gear swap and go run another

it probably would be a lot less embarrassing lol. dont have 800 bucks to swap them in yet but soon. hopefully i have a little more done soon but not sure what direction i wanna go in.

 

do you have the video of the truck with headers and mbrp? ive got longtubes and an off road y pipe already on the truck, so hopefully it will sound really nice
