no, they cut your ignition wire and tie their computer thing into it so it wont start if you fail. probably some kind of relay that closes and opens shutting off power to the key. it will never shut off your vehicle while driving down the road though

yeah, then you get a $200+ tampering fee and it gets reported to your probabtion officer and directly to the judge in the court where you were charged. from there it can be seen as voilation of probation and you can be punished (in my case) up to 180 days in jail...........

my wifes uncle just removed it, occasionally he would stick it back on. at one time he had it all bypassed.
