Now I want to try my luck with a newer ss. I'm a mostly stock 4.8, I wonder how badly it'd walk me. But on the flip, it'd be cool to do a before/after with an sss and mods on my truck.

And I like the sss styling a lot. Looks real sleek when u put the sss bumper and styling on an rcsb though

Damn some of you guys are taking this anti' SS comments so hard.

Trying being a member on this forum and driving a damn Ford.

I actually thought it's hard to get a chevy to be quick in the 1320 till i came to this site. It's a good forum.

It had to have been an AWD model. Stock AWD SSS's suck a$$ from a roll. They just won't shift into 2nd!! Hell, I'm modded and I still kinda suck from a roll. The dig is where its at for the AWD guys.

Yep, At least as an option..lighter, quicker, better weight transfer, then you'd really have something.

ive lined up with 3 diff SSS's, from digs and rolls. 1 2wd and 2 awd's. STOCK the arent too impressive for the price tag of them. but just like ANY stock 6.0, the computers are poorly tuned from factory, just a simple tune or a superchips and its a decent difference. also a bigg difference with a stock one is the driver, my buddys run the gears in their trucks (man shift) and just by doing that it makes a difference, so IMO the SSS is a good sport truck IF the owner knows what hes doing with it

Manualy shift an auto? I'd rather do what needs to be done to the trans and computer to let it shift by itself. Consistent

this thread is funny, 90% of you wish you did have a SS to add all the bolt-on crap from your 4.8s and 5.3s to the 6.0 that comes in the SS. Which is a better starting point and will makes gobs more power. If the SS had just half of the mods the OP has, it would be a different story. Not really mad at the OP, just the people who says the SS is ****, cause it aint. Its a better starting point to do mods too, and has the most potential compared to the other trucks.

Now stock form, I agree the SS is slow, but GM has to answer to alot of government and EPA BS. But they did leave the table open for us to do ALOT with...
