Default 5.3L vs 6L avalanche

Well, i never really get on it anymore, but the other day im driving through luling, LA and i notice a couple of hundred feet back some bright *** blue h.i.d lights, so i keep me eye on him, im always aware of my surroundings, and notice he is just swirving in and out of traffic. Im doing the speed limit, hich is 45 mph, and come to a stop at a red light, and so does he on the opposite side. truck was an 04-05 avalanche, had painted up and lower valances, painted to match plastics on bumper, on ss 20s with a billet grille and dark tint, dude rolled down the window, to my surprise he was black. He was reving his motor, said he just put in an lq4 6.0L and flowmaster exhaust with a custom tune, wanted to know if i wanted to race, i said no not really, he was like what are you scared, so i said **** it, lets roll then. light turned green, i let him punch it to see if he was serious, well he laid on it, well, so did I, my truck came screaming down the highway and ate him alive. i let off at 80, obviously in a 45, and pulled over to the gas station where he pulled in beside me, he said he was definitely impressed, but was pissed when i told him it was a 5.3 with some work done too it. We bullshitted, and I marked another down for the kill in the dropped 5.3L, im proud of this little motor, but when itgoes, a 6.0L with a bigger cam, and stall are going in it.
