Default 02 Powerjoke killed

Its my buddies truck and he has sworn up and down the diesel would walk all over my truck and I have been buggin him to line up. So tonight he finnally does!

Specs:

2002 F-350 CC 7.3 with intake, straightpipe, amd a good sized chip, oh ya and gauges lol. He is also lifted with 20's and 37's so that is a dissadventage...and his wieghs aproxx. 7800 where im at 4980.

Mine are in my sig and i ran with the SS whells on at full wieght

we ran 4 times:

1. from a roll, 20 mph. I was playing and actually had to let off from 3/4 down to 1/4 so I could stay next to him lol.

2. from a stop, both in 4wd stalled up. I instant ly pull a half lenght and by 70 I had him by 5.

From a stop, both in 2wd. I had massive spin and he had a little, he jumped to where my bumper was at his bed, by the 1-2 shift I was even with him and at 70 I had him by 2 or so.

Put that ford in his place! haha

ya I know I like the strokes, my dad has a 6.0 with 65hp chit, intake, and exhaust, stock hieght and stock tires and thinks he can take me also. Whats funny tho and why I say I put him in his place is because this guy has talked more **** than anything, he says my ford will walk all over that damn chevy all day! haha and my dad talks **** to so that is y I say that.

After we raced and I did a burn out for about 300ft he did tell I had the sickest truck he's seen.

It is very tough to get those trucks into the 13's. A guy up here that owns an off road shop, Randy's Off-Road. He has a twin turboed cummins that I have seen run a best of 13.38 he has a lift and 37's to tho. I have rarely seen any diesel run even into the 12's and most sit in the hid 13-16 range.

Just so ya know, I am not brand biased at all. And i feel I put the driver in his place more than the truck. And I think it is funny how someone can talk their stuff up so much and all I've ever said to him was" ok, lets go line em up." each time he makes an excuse and when we finnally do line up, he gets his *** handed to him.

That's cool I think I misinterpreted the post.I watched a F250-F350 Powerstroke race a modded Eclipse before and walked him by 3 cars from a dig.A buddy of mine showed me some video clips of someone using a STS turbo and spanking a WS6.I think the truck ran a 12.8-12.9.It was a Duramax by the way.

yes they are very capable, but it cost some serious dough to get one that quik. No dought, it is very impressive to see a nearly 8,000# truck run even 14's.

Couldn't have spanked him by much. WS6's run @ low 13's.

I don't doubt it's possible that some have but I don't think any version of a stock F-body can normally run low 13's. Thoughts.. anyone?

Yeah, i make it a point to never open my mouth first....LMAO. No matter who it is, i dont care if they are sitting in a 76 pinto. Seems when your cockey, the worst always happens. I saw a 2002+ Dodge 2500HD diesel run a 12.79 at the track a few weeks ago. The big NOS bottle in the bed of the truck gave me a clue it was not stock.. . That thing was killer, its just to bad the guy thought he was Gods son. I think now adays it cost more to beef up the trany's in them things than it does the diesel engine itself. I mean for $700-$800 you can get the Edge for the DMax. That sucker gives you something like 200+hp and even more Tq. You need to spend 3 times that much to make the gassers similar gains.

Well I'm sure it's not unheard of but what I was saying is that a 12 sec stock SS would be unusually fast. A mid-13 would be more typical. Taking that a little furthur: a bad driver in a WS6 could easily be running a high 14.
