A looser converter will get you into the meat of your power faster, but there is no need to "spin up" the PD blower at all. I wonder if you're feeling some torque management.

It's weird, if I stay into it will roll out, but if I let up any at all trans shifts, boost goes down and power falls way off and struggles to build again unless I let off and stab it again. I know it's transmission related but it could be computer freaking out...

Agreed! I can get into boost rolling into the throttle.

Interesting, perhaps Tip In TM? I would log spark and ETCTP to see if is indeed cutting power back. There are also some TM PIDs you can log.

The Ls1-based PCMs are much simpler than the E38/E67 mated to T43's.

This project is not dead, but been at a standstill since October.

I ended up getting the intake powder coated and a bracket made to hold it to radiator support.

And then I had this bright idea to push the combo harder and everything went downhill from there.

I ordered a 10 rib kit from Pegasus CNC using an ATI balancer. It was meant for 5th Gen Camaro. I bought the power steering pump and alternator with brackets and quickly realized it wasn't going to work. Of course, after I converted the factory Camaro alternator into a single wire set up. I worked with Pegasus and they fabbed a new bracket which also did not work. Ordered the Dirty Dingo and ICT bracket using the truck alternator, and no dice. Finally, my brother was able to modify the Pegasus bracket to work. It is supper tight, probably 1/2" between the block and steering gearbox. But at last, it's on there. Going to have the brackets powder coated and will share photos once that happens.

My recommendation - stick with truck accessories if going 10 rib! But... I think going from 11 psi to 16 should feel good though, and then I'll forget about all of these headaches.

Thats going to be a big bump in power for sure! I started all this with a LS Simple bracket keeping the truck accessories. I hope I dont have issue going 10 rib. I am still 8 rib, but want 10 just for the looks.

I am excited to see the results. I think I am swapping in an LQ9 bottom end before long... I'll be hot on your tail.

I also love the bracket on the intake. Thats a really nice touch.

Hopefully it makes good power, not off to a good start though. Do you have a Gen 2 or Gen 3 Whipple?

A 2wd with truck accessories should be fine. It's the 4wd gearbox that was a pain.

I finally got around to installing the 10 rib. The bracket to relocate the alternator was a lot of trial and error and took more than it should have I advise 4wd guys to stay away from the 5th Gen Camaro accessories as the alternator will hit the steering box. I do like the way the accessories look, and it will be nice to have the 160 amp alternator.

I ordered new 2010 Camaro and 2500 HD power steering lines and going to have a local hydraulic shop merge them together. And the belt I have is too long (110.5), so I ordered a 109.6" and 107.8". Man it's hard to get 10 rib belts!!

Fast forward two years and I never got the alternator bracket to work.

Since the last update, I did a P59 upgrade, 3 bar, flex, 80E cal on it. Also reworked the harness to route it differently and installed a Texas Speed 11:1 408 engine.

Redid all the suspension, front Atomic coilover kit. Limiting straps up front, monoleaf out bag, Raceline 17" drag pack with Mickey's on all 4 corners.

Well I sold the blower, going to get the new Whipple 3.0 and Wegner drive set up.
