most people use them from older 88-98 trucks..my buddy and I just pulled a 6 lug 14 bolt SF from a 97 silverado...they bolt right up to the newer trucks

NBS 1500 HDs were 8 lug im almost 95% sure...

No! they do not bolt right up, but they can be modified to work. I hope the 97 silverado was a 4x4 other wise your gonna need new wheels.

Check out this thread for more details on the OBS 14 Bolt Swap.

99-Up style is 68.5 WMS-WMS
88-98 2x4 6 Lug was only 64.5 WMS-WMS
88-98 4x4 6 lug Is 67.5 WMS-WMS

The 8 lug came in 1500HD 99-up style
6 lug Version in 99-up style Certin Crew Cab models, V-Max, VHO, Denali C3 Truck, In the SS 06 model only. Then again In 08 NNBS V-Max

Around 04 was supposedly a Discbrake Version. I know 08-up also have disc brakes.

I like the way it looks Lowered and with the new front end. I Almost did the same thing with a light duty 2500. Are you gonna show us How you mounted your 4 link set up??? did you just cut the back of the frame off and make new mount holes for the short bed???

I haven't updated this in quite a wile. These pics are old but someone was asking questions so I figured I would post them up.

I havn't addressed the offset bag issue. I have only driven the truck, maybe, 150 miles in the last 6 months. It is also now track and play only so I will probably just leave it as is. Less then 1500 miles a year it should be just fine as is.
