no vids werent taken.... but it honestly sounds like a stock motor the few revs I made spun the turbo up nice and quickly even on the jackstands. sounds mean but really not all that loud even with just an open DP

This motor just "felt" better starting than the last 347. MUCH less noise on the first startup and the valvetrain just has that nice sewing maching "swooshing" sound even with dual springs, and big roller rockers, no ticks, knocks, clanks, or taps... idles hot at 60-62psi and goes to 70 and beyond at any blip of the throttle... I can tell its a hair less compression because it is a touch less snappy, but its still better than stock even at 9:1

Looks like I might have acheived my primary goal and the reason for alot of the $$ spent, I did not have a SINGLE leak, seep, ooze, drip, nothing.... hopefully thats pays off and stays that way. The only smoke was from fresh paint burning, and one of my fan motors going poof LOL... I'll have to swap that out, but with a big boxfan and one e-fan at idle it never went over 190 idling... I've got tuning to do yet, still wanting to surge, and still idling a little high but for a cold, initial startup I couldnt have asked for anything better.

more than anything, I've just got a tremendous weight off my shoulders.

Congrats again Ben... I can't believe how quite it was. Wish I could see it in person though.

yeah, having a normal conversation with you on the phone, sitting in the cab, with it running, with an open 3" DP is proof that a turbo is a "muffling device"
