What RPM are you commanding your shifts with the 80e?

I'm guessing the tracks have closed up for the winter where you are. When are you planning to get it to the 1/4th?

Yea they have closed. They open back up on April 1. I'll be ready

You know I never looked after the 80e swap until you just asked me... and its weird to say the least.

My Tune commands a 40 MPH 1-2 and a 70 MPH 2-3. RPM are set to 6000 on both. My 1-2 shifts at 5600 RPM on the nose and 46 MPH, which comes only .4 seconds after 40... so my guess is 40 is triggering that shift. My 2-3 happens at just a hair shy of 6000 at 86 MPH... no idea why lol. Needless to say my 1-2 is a short shift, and my 2-3 feels spot on for the street. At the track I will bring them both up near 6300 or so. By the looks of it I'm gonna have a hell of a time getting them that dialed in...

Both MPH and RPM must be met to trigger a shift, however for some reason I am seeing on numerous setups including my own where both parameters will be met and yet it still doesnt command the shift right away.

Supercharged sierra denali 0-60 in 4.1 , 0-100 in 9.75 seconds - YouTube

Haven't posted in here in a while. That video was posted in another thread, but thought i'd toss it in here too. It was taken with mods in the sig.

As an update, I pulled the trigger on a OD 8 rib balancer with a pin kit finally, and a TA performance girdle. Those will both go on soon enough alogn with the rest of the 8 rib... I have my hands full with another project at the moment.

Next on the list is an alky control meth kit and some new tires that I need pretty desperately... I would get the 275/60r17. A little wider than stock, about an inch and a half shorter, and only 32# according to a couple sites I've been on compared to the stock tire weight of 37-38#. I know it doesnt sound like much, but thats 20# of rotating mass that is also more centralized being a shorter diameter, I think it will have a small but meaningful impact. That's the tire that they use on the police Tahoe's (in a slightly smaller 265/60r17). It has a soft compound which should help me off the line.

After that its the typical bigger intake and exhaust that everyone does. They aren't must haves, but I know they would help.

I have a few more updates to post here. I havent been keeping up with this thread, but there are things worth mentioning here.

First is I got my hands on a 4" corsa exhaust and installed that with a 3 into 4" ARH y pipe. It sounds mean and its loud.

Next I have finally added the TA girdle and the bearing cap studs to help out this 10 bolt... last thing i need is an axle to **** the bed.

This pic shows the cover and a portion of the corsa cat back

Last but most importantly... I got a new rear driveshaft trying to hunt down a vibration... didnt change much. I have a vibration from under really light load from about 2300 RPM up. I can't figure out what the hell it is. When I hit boost it seems to disappear. I think I have a lifter that is weak and lightly ticks sometimes, could this cause it? I know its nearly impossible to diagnose something like this when you can't feel it yourself, but I am just looking for suggestions. I would think if its a lifter or something with the engine it would be present below 2300 rpm as well... but im kind of out of ideas. My driveline angles seem good to me. is it possible its something in the trans/converter/flex plate?? It doesnt feel catastrophic... but theres no denying its there and I want to get rid of it.

Sounds mean with that corsa on there.

What kind of vibration is it? You feel it in the drivetrain or steering wheel or where? Have you gone through the converter bolts, checked the flex plate, ect?

when I'm at that RPM and I'm on the highway I feel it gently through the whole truck... cant really pinpoint it to the steering wheel or anything like would be indicative of a wheel that's out of balance etc. I haven't checked the flex plate of the converter in a little bit... but last time I did they were good. I will give it another once over to make sure nothing is out of whack, but I don't think I will find anything. I was really hopeful that the new rear driveshaft would solve my problem... Hopefully that will give you an indication of what it feels like.
