don't worry about ed. his mom dropped him repeatedly as a child. post birth retardation is tragic.

I started the truck this morning to go to the parts house and get some tr6 plugs. about 2 miles from home it started tapping pretty hard at idle. time to pull the engine

Tap - YouTube

figuring I had a bad lifter I wanted to pull the valve covers to make sure I didn't have a broken rocker or spring. the tapping sounded it came from the passenger side so I started there. remember the cylinder that wasn't firing?

Spring - YouTube

Damn. Incant watch the vids right now but hopefully it is just a lifter. You might want to swap out those lifters for the new ctsv ones since you shifting so high.

Those were aftermarket springs so they should have some kind of mfg warranty against sending **** out the door...

Hopefully they make it right and pitch the replacements out asap..

I just hope there isn't any piston damage, and bad part is that without pulling the head or a small borescope, you won't know.

Looks very familiar to when i snapped a spring. Looks like the valve is still there though which is good. May have some minor piston damage.
