The noise has gotten quieter and quieter...not sure if thats a good or bad thing...went in there and looked again and no visual marks on any components (without taking the caliper or rotor off). Called a friend of mine that was the design engineer for the OEM braking for this truck...he strongly thinks its the fixed caliper design that is causing the noise...any axle movement, its biasing the rotor against the inner or outer pad while turning which might cause any NVH that we are hearing...the rear pad retaining pins on the rear calipers are also free spinning and loose, and from what it seems like, by design...this axle movement etc could be sending some kinda frequency to these pins which might cause this noise...every one tells me to check my dust shields...and i can 200% guarantee its not them...
I cant believe i haven't posted in here in so long, and i cant believe this thread is over 10 years old...long story short a ring land broke so we went thru the whole motor, Iron block, forged Molnar crank, rods, Wesico pistons, new cam from rob.
