Funny, I had a set of those same 16 inch rims for sale for $100 with old AT tires on them.

I couldn't get anyone in my area to bite even with a best offer. Even for a roller. To me, it wasn't worth the $40 in scrap to break the tires down. I finally just gave them away to a friend...

Who makes the gears? Are you going to do a billet input also?

Yes, Chuck is installing a billet shaft too.

From the research I did, I found 3 companies who make them, TCI, Coan and Hughes. Mine are Hughes

Yeah when I mentioned the gear change to Chuck, he told me the only one he knew of was TCI and told me he had a customer who had them drop shipped to his shop for him to install. He said they were horrible quality and ordered another set which came in worse so he refused to install them. I also read several other horror stories of trans. carnage with the TCI gears.

What I liked about Hughes was the fact that they use OEM gears and modify them.

Cool, ya in many cases OEM quality is the way to go. Like 5 pinion planets for a 60e upgrade, I wouldn't touch aftermarket. I have heard those issues with TCI also.

Oh sweet, good timing! How much do the rims weigh, do you know?
